Man that Blue is about the prettiest color I've seen for 12's.
Wished they would of had a Blue like that for a limited.
    Sure is pretty..........

I don't care for choppers. They don't ride like a Bagger man.

    Nice pics.

I test rode a couple of baggers at Thunder in the Rockies for lack of anything better to do. Neither of them were CVOs. The Ultra was OK. I didn't feel like I was on a motorcycle. Way too much windshield. I liked the Road Glide better as far as comfort and handling. Again, a little too much windshield, and I'd put moderate ape hangers on it. I've gotten used to them and like the way they feel.

I think they've made the engines cooler. The ride was more enjoyable than the last few years.

    Still wouldn't trade my baby.

Now you got two different areas to look threw unless you got a shorty.
And if you got a shorty you got more wind in yer face.
Wait till it gits cold outside or when the Bugs are real bad, Here the bugs will beat you up pretty bad with all the cattle ranch's everywhere.
Its a major job to keep the bugs off yer bike too.
My buddy was riding with a shorty shield on a SG and a car threw a rock, busted his lip and broke a tooth off.

Thought wind in the face was part of motorcycle riding
too many people whine and moan about "wind" good lord
go get a car if the wind is a problem...

Rode my softail for years with the windshield off, 12 inch apes
    loved it.

Abby I like the RG better as well, you will get more wind on
one but I don't mind however I think HD was thinking of you
when they came up with the Dyna Switchback, kind of retro
70's style hard bags aka shovel, cool torque thrust wheels,
    detachable windshield and bags...

Mine is a 8 inch, just look over the top of it and its a dark shield. We got plenty of bugs here to CB and I don't get hit by any bugs in the face.

HRK, I was thinking the same thing when I saw the Switchback. Just throw hard bags on a Softail or Dyna and there ya go. I have people ask me about my bags all the time. They're detachable, but once I had the bags, I've never wanted to take them off, except if I'm doing a thorough wash.

At Thunder in the Rockies, there was a vendor with these hard face masks. They were painted pretty cool, but as much as I do get hit with bugs (I live in farm/ranch country) and stung by bees and everything else, I have no desire to wear one. Getting hit or stung or whatever is part of the risk.

There have been times when I felt that a bagger would be really nice, like that stupid Daytona trip in February, but not enough to give up the Softail. Someday I'll be able to afford both and I'll get one. Probably a Street Glide though. I'm not ready to go full-out Geezer Glide yet. :D

I got a friend with a 2011 Limited and he put on a quick release for the top trunk so he can ride it like a street glide or as an Ultra. Good combination. :)

Yeah I've got the detachable kit from my 09
that's going on the 11 eventually.

Abby you just need a short shield for that bike,
take some wind pressure of you when you ride
a place to duck into in hail and hard rain or locust swarms LOL

I have a nice one from Rifle I bought last year. I've only used it once. It was raining when I started out, so I put it on. Then it started hailing. I thought I was going to die. I'll get a Street Glide if I sell enough books. :D
