how much bigger is the hole? sounds like ya getting some flutter off idle. some folks have filled the enlarged hole with jb weld and drilled the correct size hole next to it. thing is, if the jb weld comes loose and passes through the carb into the engine.......big time problems. i would replace the slide.........

HD dealers have slides in stock for about $25 - cheaper than running some JB weld thru the engine - makes the engines run funny for some reason - like putting rocks in yer shoes and running a marathon.

Go for the new slide ,or look for a good used carb houseing ,& start from the begining , they pop up on C list or in a buddies garage
