Bought this bike 6 months ago and it seems to use a lot of oil. No smoke. no leaks i can find. 22500 miles. Itseems to use a lot of oil. Probably a quart every 700 mile. Any help would be appreciated.

Check the oil level in your primary...How is the crankcase vent hose run?To the atmosphere or back into the air cleaner??

Crank vent lets air out of your bottom end when the piston's come down...From the factory the vent hose is routed back up into the air cleaner to burn off the air/oil mist that comes out of the bottom end(EPA rules)Most people re-route it to the atmosphere by running the hose under the bike along the frame to keep the oil out of the intake, find the hose and check for oil spray on the bottom of the bike....if it's routed to the air cleaner have a look at the carb to see if it's dirty with oil... Pretty sure your '92 is still a bottom breather
    That's a lot of oil...
