I am building a 76 flh bobber and I am going to use an external mount oil filter on the side of the bike. I have a couple of these mounts. does anyone know what oil filter would be acceptable to use?I know some of the newer ones have a check valve in them and I don't think that would be good for this old bike.Maybe there is a car filter that would work??

Any Evo filter will work fine for you.... Wix #51215 or Napa #1215

The Wix and Napa are just 2 I could think of, there are more Purolator is another,I can't remember the number....20 micron filter media and no more than 9 lb bypass valve pressure....the 9lb's is pressure differential in the filter not engine oil pressure....

Wix makes HD filters so you shouldn't have any issue with them...
