oil made its way passed the filler cap

    Went on a 45 minute ride on the beltway averaging about 70 mph and when I parked I noticed that oil managed to expanded and make its way past the filler cap. It had the correct amount of oil and its about 1/2 way up the dipstick now. The bike has been out many times without any issues. It's a 2002 standard soft tail. Thanks

    Horribly late response, but are you certain that the cap was fully on? I know those dipstick caps can be tricky, where they kind of feel down all the way but aren't. Nothing else seems to make sense, if the oil quantity was accurate.
