Olbill

Some of you know Olbill when he posts on here. I got a call from Bill and he is in a hospital in Winslow AZ. He got really ill coming back up with a friend of ours from New Mexico. He is in not so good shape.
I'm going to take my Dodge truck and hook up my trailer and go get him and his bike. It's about a 1400 mile trip there and should take me a couple of days to get there. Stay overnight and then load his bike up and pack him in the back seat. Got a friend Loren who said he will go with me to help with the driving. Sure do appreciate that.
He was thinking of riding it back home once the hospital releases him but hospital, his wife and myself said no. No big airport where he is at and not a real close Dealer. Plus the temps are very hot there and up through Utah, he would get sick again. So gonna go get the old fart and haul him home.
I'm leaving on Thursday morning providing the hospital says he can go.

Still waiting to hear from him to be sure he will be released.

Well that's good of you, hope he pulls through fine. Keep us updated.

No he was not with us on that trip. He's a friend of Maddog and mine and he has posted on here a few times. Did an oil change on the Dodge diesel today and have the trailer hooked up and ready to roll.

Talked to him tonight and he is being discharged Thursday. He has been in the hospital sense Saturday. He told me that they had him in a isolation unit for two days because his immune system had gotten so bad that they didn't want him exposed to anything. I'm leaving here at 6 AM and going to drive past Salt Lake the first night. There is a Motel 6 that Sleepy and I stayed at a few years ago and going to head for there.

I'm in Lehi Utah at the Motel6 and got here at 9.30pm.
800 plus miles, long day. Olbill called and a social worker took him to the motel said he was still to weak to even get on his bike. So his bike is still at the hospital and we will pick it up there.
We have around 550 miles tomorrow. If JB thinks he will do back to back 800 mile days riding 2 up all I can say is good luck.
Saw a restsurant in Idaho today that said The Red Neck Restaurant.

We made it to Winslow AZ today at 6PM. AZ put in a nice 110 mile side trip to our mileage today in the form of a detour. Olbill is doing OK but looks exhausted. Will start the long journey tomorrow.

We loaded his bike up today and drove 14 hours today and we are just south of Sacramento CA. Long day today but freeway and a straight shot up I-5 tomorrow. Here is a pic of Bill and his bike at the hospital. They had to shrink wrap the cover on to keep the cover from blowing off because of hi winds.
