Old gas

    hi. have old gas in bike. gas is two years old. is there an additive I can use or do I have to drain it and if so can some one till me what happens to the gas thanks

    It deteriorates over time will ruin the inside of the fuel lines, carb etc.

    Drain it, get it out of the tank completely and the fuel line as well,

    Pull the bowl off the bottom of the carb and remove the gas, it can turn to a kind of laquer substance.

    Once you drain it out, I'd put in a gal of low octane and swoosh it around and redrain the tank.

    The additive you are thinking about is Stabil and should have gone in before storage.

    That is a lot less money and time if you don't. That old gas well raise hell for real!:rant:
