I think that I broke one of my glove box doors. It opens, but doesn't return. I am looking for a spot in my Factory Service Manual on how to fix it. Can't find it in the book. Any idears?

Ok, now after a better examination of the SM, I found where it talks about hinge removal. My issue is not with the hinge, it has to do with the spring that is in the hinge. Is there a way that I can relocate the spring to its proper spot without removing the outer fairing and then the hinge?

Probably not, the door has nuts inside behind the hinge holding the bolts,
removing the outside fairing isnt hard and you can check that antenna

Upgrade the bulbs to Silverstar 9003 ZXE at any autoparts store as close to HID as you can buy.

    SilverStarĀ® zXe

yes Pep boys, advance, whatever is up there, if they don't have the zXe
get the Ultra silverstar, of course you need to wait for CB's advice to get
PIAA or an HID, or some other thing......

Ok, the SM isn't very clear and doesn't give a good illustration on this hinge. The spring has to be brought back into the grooves that are on opposite of that pigtail on the spring correct?

Kinda cool, I am doing a lot of my own work these days. Getting tired of paying someone when I am perfectly capable of doing it.

There is a trick to getting it back on shoulda told ya...

when it's off, remove the headlight bezel, three green press tabs
    take it out.

Put the faring back on, you can look through the headlight holes in the faring
and align the catch slots in the fairing with the mounting hooks, makes it easy

trick is you need to be sure the alignment mounts with green tabs are lined up
with the center of the holes, press it back in once the fairing is mounted (hook up wires first) go slow and press firm, top then bottom two but be sure you have them in place or you'll be taking it apart again. Once you get it down it's easy.

Re: no start 1340 1980 flh

My '77 runs best if the points are .018 with no more than .001 difference on each cam lobe. Tried different plug gap and .028 seems to be best. Good luck kicking it!

Get ya some spare wel-nutz from HD or lowes or a boat supply store, keep them in the garage, when you change them out, you'll loose one inside, happens as they age,
then you just put a new one in, don't go diggin for the old one...
