What's the general opinion on Bassani True Duels ?---I've got mixed feelings with performance over looks. I'm going with either Vance and Hines or Bassani ?

What are you lookin for out of the pipes. Looks sound or performance.

I went with Fuel Moto stainless steel header pipes.
They have some 4" jackpot exhaust that sound great.

I'm running 09 version Supertrapp Stouts mufflers. I didn't want too much noise.
It took 8 months to break them in.
The 10 and 11 model stouts are louder.

big heavy bike like you got I'd be keeping the stock headpipe and put some Vance and Hines mufflers on it.

I would keep the stock headers to. You don't have the cat in the headers on a 03 like the 09 and later touring bikes do. So no heat issue there plus the stock headers will give you better torque than headers will. Just put the mufflers on it. Both make good mufflers.
