I have a 2007 Streetglide, I am thinking about painting my dash, I know that H.D sells them already painted. Has anybody out there ever successfully painted thier own dash, with a factory color?

    It's done all the time,
Sanding them smooth is a key

Finding a painter if you are not one, and getting the paint to match isn't hard you can buy it from the dealer or have your painter match it up.

hrk is givin good info.......but, ya dont have to sand it smooth. you can use a red scotchbrite pad to give the plastic tooth. there are other steps to insure good adheason. if you are doing this your self, let us know and we will walk ya through the steps. i have done this many times............ piece of cake!!!!:)

my inner fairing is staring to look like crap..... sun fade on the top edge.....etc...the flat black that they use for it doens't hold up as well.... would not mind painting mine also....BUT, that means got to take it appart.... then have it painted (painting is NOT my skill), then put it back together...... THink I will live with the weathered look for a bit more!
