Has anyone replaced their ignition module on a bike with the security system? There is a password learn procedure and I am just wondering how difficult it really is and if the one posted on the cv-performance website works.Seems like it should be pretty straight forward.

Like I said the other day, I did it on mine, and that is the procdure I used. You just have to time it when they say 10 seconds or what ever they say they mean it.It really isn't hard just time consuming, about 30 minutes or so, make sure you have bike on a battery tender or a charger on low.

It still chokes out at around 95.Like you said,I should be able to pull 110 easily. So,I'm gonna put the module on and see what happens. If there's still an issue,it's going to the dyno to see the air/fuel ratio and what needs to be done.I'm at my wits end and think it will be worth the cost of the dyno tune to get my baby running the way it can and should.

It sounds to rich to me with the jetting you have in it. Which module did you get? Do you have any part numbers then I can tell if it is the same one I have.

I think HarleysLR is correct in saying that it sounds like its running to rich.

I just got the UPS delivery a few minutes ago.I have the seat off and battery charger ready to put on.I have some things I have to do until about 2.Then,I'm gonna dive in and see if I can get it programmed. Will the old one still work should I run into any problems?

The password process worked the first time-just like you said it would.Bike seems to be a bit more responsive on the bottom and through the middle rpm range.Still chokes out at the top.I am starting to believe the jetting may be too rich as well.there's no other thing I can think of.I even removed the cam cover to make sure the cams were timed right. The marks line up dead on.Could a cam be somehow defective or messed up?I'm probably looking to deep into the problem, but oh,well.Thank you very much for the help on the ignition installation!

Glad the programming went well, it is just time consuming.
now work on the jetting it will make a big difference.
Stock is 45 pilot and 190 main, I'd try a 48 and a 190 or 195. You haven't changed enough in or on your engine to warrant larger jets.
the guys on here will not steer you wrong.
