Camp fire coffee over an open flame is the best.

+1 Even sometimes I screw it up (forget to put that lid on the grounds and it gets rather chewy) it is STILL great. Just bein' in the wild & free makes everytthing better, I guess.

Wife just left for a week to care for he's sister on NC. I'm dreaming of hitting Starbucks and relaxing with a Chocolste Latte cappuccino frappachino soy with 2 shots and whip cream and a caramel drizzle. Make it a Venti please.

I used our percolator every day until last year when Mac the Wife, unbeknownst to me, got us a Keurig coffee maker. Was I gonna say, "Get that thing outta the house!" Not me. It's okay, I guess, just not as good as perc coffee.

Now we spend a bloody fortune on "Keurig Cups" and you guys are right - coffee tastes and smells better in a percolator. You can make it as strong as you like . . . .
