My buds 06 XL 1200c Sporty is running rough at idle and low rpms. We found that the vacuum bladder in the petcock is leaking through. Wouldn't that suck fuel right into the vacuum system? Don't know much about the vacuum system or where it would suck gas into. A new petcock assy. is on the way. Any thoughts? Thanks. huh huh huh, he said petcock

loss of vac could cause driveability issues

You might be able to find a rebuild kit but
It would be cheaper to find a replacement on a web board or ebay

See what the dealer wants for a new one,

While he doesn't need a High Flow petcock you can get a new one that is non vac assisted from Pingle.

Check around at shops and vendors online

Jenny at Fairfield, Ohio, Harley-Davidson, Motorcycle, Dealer, Used, Parts, Acccessories, Apparel sells aftermarket and hd stuff 20% off. but you need to call with your PN from the CCI book.

I guess the proper terminology would be vacuum diaphragm. Its not sucking air from the outside but sucking fuel through the diaphragm. Got new petcock from HD coming Friday anyway for 30 bucks. Hopes this solves his sputter at idle/low rpm problem. He thinks its running rich. Thanks again.
