The bike was very nicely restored. Motor is all stock however there is something on the left side that Josh should think about. See if he or HRK can see it. When he left the bike ran and sounded beautifully. The seat was redone by a seat maker in CA and is a sprung seat. Was a pleasure to see this bike.

Guess that's a foot clutch & short Jockey shifter, or the belt cover ?

Very nice restoration. I saw the black knob but don't know what it's for.

Looks to me to be a little hand shift lever. But if it is it's reduntant with the foot lever.

OK, HRK or Lucifer didn't chime in so when I asked him what it was he said I'll show you. He turned the switch on and reached down then pulled the knob forward and the bike started. Electric start that he added. He's an older guy and said he didn't want to kick start it anymore.

That is a fine looking machine. Was the owner as much of a character as the bike?

Yea, very interesting guy to talk to and knew his bike well. Definitely a guy with a love for the older bikes.

Yea it really amazed me when he took ahold of the knob and pulled it forward. The metal block portion that it was attached to pulled forward to. Very cool.

wonder why he did that???? they came stock from the factory with a push button start. unless he didnt feel like running the wire up into the handle bars. tanks are not stock either. factory had the shutoff on the top left tank. a brass knob that ya unscrewed' and lifted for fuel on and reserve. oil tank is not stock either.....battery was on one side and oil bag on the other....see a few other parts also. a VERY CLEAN MACHINE!!!! a definite head turner!!!!!!!!!!

I think he told us that the bike was a rebuild and the motor was stock but had been redone. I imagine he did a lot of things to it different, but did a nice job of it.
Wished you could have seen it up close.

Surely you're not suggesting I should put a (gasp!) starter on my bike?
