I am currently searching for a Harley FLHRCI, or FLHTI. I recently sold a 2001 R.K. Classic. I ran "Hooker" pipes for a year and 1/2, and then sent my stock pipes to a Co. in Florida (if I remember correctly) and they reworked them. They sounded great, loud and deep. I should have kept that info-saw the ad in "Thunderpress".

Anyway, I've read alot on Vance & Hines Dresser Duals, Reinhart, Sampson, etc. What is the best sound "you" have heard?

Thank you. Lets hear it !

I installed Vance & Hines 2 into 1 HS Pro Pipes on my 2004 Road King Classic and am very pleased with the sound and performance. I have always ran V&H on all of the harley's I have owned. They have never let me down. Ride Safe, David.

I likewise have the V&H Pro Pipe 2 in 1 on my Fatboy with the Ness Big Sucker air cleaner set up. I had the dealership do the factory download for my particular intake/exhaust setup and at the same time increase the rev limit and it screams for only doing a Stage 1. Don't see a need for the Power Commander. If you are okay with the 2 in 1 look the sound in my opinion is excellent.

I have the 04 FLHT injected.....stock except for the ness air filter, power commander, and Samson Rolled Thunder slip ons.....SOMEDAY would like to try true dual, but that is a bit more money. I LOVE the sound, not SUPER loud when idleing into/outof gov't family housing, purrs nicely when hitting the throttle....but still not totally obnoxious....well, my wife may think otherwise..... May be too quiet for some, but I like the sound. :D

For performance and sound the V&H Propipe works great and does not get too obnoxious. If you prefer slip ons the V&H dresser duals work very well and still accept a stage download without having to go to race tuner or power commander. The way things are going with noise laws and public outcry I personnaly wouldn't go with any system that is really loud. Drag pipes will get you in trouble in the not too distant future (already enforced in many municipalities) and the day is coming where you will not be able to modify your exhaust at all. Not looking forward to that happening, but with so many people disregarding the noise levels and how it effects the general population it is unfortunatly inevitable.

I have a 04 Fatboy and installed V & H short shots, a bit loud but sound great. I installed a pro pipe HS though, on a friends 2003 Fatboy, and it sounds incredible! Nice low tones and good power.

I have the 2 into 1 V&H Pro Pipe on a 1999 Fatboy. It's the first time I've tried V&H and I love them. Great performance and a nice deep, throaty sound. I don't think you will be dissapointed if you decide to install them.

    Good luck!

I had the Pro pipe on my former RKC that was great sounding, fitting and had a very nice finish. I'm still trying to deside myself if I like that look on a new classic I'm taking delivery on in March. My search for answers had left me leaning toward the Python slip ons, if I deside to go with duals, followed later by the V&H true dual header pipe. If you like the looks of the 2-1 on a bagger I would deffinitely go back to the V&H Pro Pipe. I purchased mine here from Direct Parts and was real happy :) with everything.

Good Luck, Ride Safe, Ride Often!
