04 Dyna 5000 miles, ran great UNTIL some dummy decided to take off carb. & clean. Only diff. was installing EZ mixture screw (2 1/2 turns out). Now plugs foul black/won't idle/runs like sh.. New wires, coil tested ok, new air filter, enrichner line. Jets tight.
No leaks in vacuum line. Could Intake manifold seals leaking cause this?

    Any help-greatly appreciated-going crazy!!

Do you know how many turns the old idle mixture screw was out....You can spray some wd 40 around the intake manifold,if you notice a change in the motor rpm's you have a leak...A leak at the intake will mess up your idle...

the rubber o ring between the carb and manifold could be damaged also......have seen this numerous times....easy fix...........:)

    glrizzz-plugs fouling

No I don't--and I sure wish I would have lightly seated & counted. Do you know factory setting? Read anywhere between 1 1/2 to 3 turns out, with 2-2 1/2 the norm--but not sure.

I would spray WD 40 around intake, but probably won't run long enough.

could be you've pulled the choke cable out and got it stuck open, intake leak would usually lean the thing out requiring more fuel to keep it running.

Define clean, did you clean just the outside or did you take it completely apart and reassemble?

Assuming you've done a carb or two, might be wise to remove it and check
the carb to intake seal, check choke cable isn't binding, check for any vacumn line leaks.

    Check float, etc.

Think about it for a second.
An intake air leak is upstream from the carb so there is less flow through the carb so you get a lean condition not a plug fouling rich condition. This is why you have a low idle speed cold and you adjust it only to have a higher idle speed when warmed up and leak is all but gone.

The enrichener cable could be off seat like HRK mentions but I would be more suspect of a float bowl, needle seat issue. Remember, late model CV's vent into the carb not to the ground so you get lots 'o gas into the engine resulting in poor idle, smoke, bad throttle response and fouled plugs.... That's my $1 two ninety eight worth. YMMV SBBW

BTW, before yanking the carb I would verfiy the enrichener piston is seating like HRK thinks...
    Saves some work.

could you try turning your mixture screw out or in 1/4 at a time to see if it will run better.Kenfuzed is the carb King,I'm sure he could help you....

I don't know about King, last time someone called me Emperor and things went to hell from there.

Anyway, glrizzz, already some good advice here but to recap - start with the choke (enrichener) cable. The cheezy plastic nut that holds it to the carb is easily cross threaded leaving the plunger unable to seat. 9 times outa 10 this will cause a newly reinstalled carburetor to run horribly rich.
