I borrowed this from somewhere else. So I take no credit for it.

Police Trained to draw Blood from DUI suspects.

Don't know how you feel about this. But i'm scared of needles.
I don't even like being stuck at a doctors office.
And yer gonna have a Police officer to stick me and draw Blood.

Just read an article about this and couldn't believe what I was reading so I looked it up and it is true.

I don't drink and drive but I can see a lot of issues with this and what happened to our freedoms and Innocent till proven guilty?

Police Trained to Draw Blood from DWI Suspects
    September 16, 2009

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled four decades ago that police can draw blood from drunk-driving suspects without a warrant, and a federal program is now examining whether police nationwide should be trained to do so, the Associated Press reported Sept. 14.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is currently training police officers in Texas and Idaho on how to draw blood during traffic stops and mulling whether the training should be expanded nationally.

Arizona police have been drawing blood from drunk-driving suspects without consent or a warrant since 1995, but the practice is not widespread elsewhere.

Blood tests are generally seen as being more accurate in measuring blood-alcohol levels than breath tests. Police who complete the NHTSA training program would be able to draw blood from drivers who refuse a breath test -- by force, if deemed necessary.

Critics see a number of problems with blood testing by police, however, including concerns about chain of custody of samples, contamination, and the potential for malpractice lawsuits. "I would imagine that a lot of people would be wary of having their blood drawn by an officer on the hood of their police vehicle," said Steve Oberman of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

I really don't like that idea. I have had experience with young cops not really knowing want a drunk looks like or it seemed that way and they had that tuff guy attitude which I can't stand. Saw me leave a bar and pulled me over because I had a tail light out. My driving was just fine but they could smell beer on my breath and gave me the third degree. Wasn't drunk past all the test and they had to let me go. If I had to have one of these bad ass kid cops draw blood from me I might of lost it at that point. Its getting to the point you can't enjoy a beer at a bar without being treated like a criminal. Of course I am against driving drunk but it seems more it is about the money then anything else. Even if your not drunk you can get a DUI, driving under the influence, and get stuck dishing out 5-10,000 for a lawyer.

    Besides all that.
Here a DWI will make me loose a locksmith license.
And a CHL permit. Even though I didn't have the pistol with me.

Then I will be a criminal cause the police officer can put my name in the computer and it brings up a record on me

The OL nephew is a Doctor .

I showed this to him. He said it was absurb for a police officer to try and insert a cathetor and then try to draw blood.
Blood Veins are hard to hit right.
It holds a lot of Liability. and if somebody has aids or hepititus, and you stick yerself or somebody else. What then.
And if the conditions are not clean you can cause infection and everthing.
Doctors don't even draw blood, Trained Nurses do and they do it everyday.
He was saying its openin up the door for lawsuits.
And who's responsible, the Police officer, the city, or the state.

How good of insurance do you have if yer a Police Officer ?

I want to hear the excuse.

They will have a paper from the Judge. Give it or they will take it.
And with the paper from the judge its all legal for them to force you.
If they have to use a stun gun, tie you up and stick a sock in yer mouth to git it.
