Here is another possibility of a new ride for myself. My buddy with the 06 Heritage is kind of dragging his feet on a decision if he is going to trade in his bike now or later. In the mean time, I saw this one and am waiting on taking it for a spin. It has been lowered, S&S carb, different wheels, drag bars (needs apes), and a pretty nice paint job.

    Enjoy..

Not sure on the year and yes it is a Fat Boy, it says it on the oil tank....:gah:

The dude is asking $12,500. Don't have any other information on it. I called the guy so I can take a look at it but hasn't called back. It could be sold because the For Sale sign is off and it is in a different location that when I first saw it..

A Heritage is a better buy, comes with the windshield and saddle bags, makes for a great all around bike.

I agree, but HR like this bike a lot. Not only that I may be able to pick up that 06 for around $10,500. That would be cool if I could. :D

This FatBoy was a huge disappointment. Had a chance to bring it out for a spin and I would have to say that I was not comfortable on it from the time that I got on it. First, the throttle sticks. Second, the rear brake either has air in the system or the pad is wore down to nothing. This bike had absolutely no stopping power from the rear. Third and the most major issue was that when I turned with it, and only when I turned, it clunked really bad. The clutch is out of adjustment on it as I couldn't find neutral and jumped badly after releasing the clutch....:gah::gah:

How many miles are on that thing? The rear brake should last at least 30-40K miles, and the clunk sounds like it may be the neck bearing out of adjustment. I wouldn't worry about the clutch--probably adjustment, although this bike may have had some hard use. Again, simple maintenance stuff usually gets ignored.

The bike is a 99 with 19k on it. It could have had the big bore done to it but the guy that has it is friggin idiot.... so I do not have much information on it.

Alex, I think that you are right about the neck bearing, but it was enough to where HR said she wasn't interested.. Maybe for the right price but for $12,500, I don't think so.:roflmao:

In 99 it would have been the EVO. I had a 99 Roadking and the touring bikes were TC. However, the first TC had cam issues, mine went out and took out the bottom end. Harley rebuilt it and I rode it for a few more years.
If I were you looking at another bike I would stay with a TC, there are good buys on 20000-2005 bikes out there.
