    Hello,
I have a new 04 FLHTI that is all stock except for Bub/Rinehart true duals, Screamin Eagle intake kit, and the Power Commander III USB. I was wondering which map I should use. What is the difference between the "Stock ECU" maps and the "Stage 1 ECU" maps?
Does the Stage 1 ECU mean that the HD dealership "reflashed" the stock ECU? Since I just put these items on myself and hasn't been to the dealership, would I use the M807-143 map or another.
One more question..........I notice that there are different maps for the 2005 models. Did something change where the 04 and 05 would need different maps.
I'm not looking for 100% optimization, but just want it to run well and have good response throughout the RPM range.
    Thank you

The Stage 1 flash is only needed if you want to raise the RPM limit. The changes that the Stage 1 flash makes are easily covered by the map for stock ECU's, so save the money. The map for a stock ECU is 807-143 for the '04 models and if you have a Stage 1 it is 807-125.

    Wont open

    CD,
I tried using two different computers and my software won't open the 807-143. Am I using the wrong software? It will open the 807-125 map and most others.
Please let me know what I am doing wrong?

Was it on the CD or a download from the site? I would download it again and try renaming it to say 807-143b and open it....

    My dumb ass

    CD,
I didn't realize or notice that when I downloaded from the website it was a .ZIP file with both the .MAP and .djm extension. Got it now and downloaded on bike (gotta love laptops) Haven't taken it for a spin yet, by baby is in bed and the wife at work.
THANK YOU for all your help.

    Great

:) I was able to take the scoot out for a nice long test ride with the new map. It ran GREAT throughout the entire RPM range. It certainly is a great improvement from stock. Thanks again CD for you quick replies and valuable info.
