    Hello!

This is my first time posting on this forum. So i hope i didn't post this in the wrong topic!

I have a question about the differences in PCIII and PCIIIusb.
The problem is that i just got a PCIII (serial) from a friend. But i own a GSX-r 750 K5 and the power commander doesn't fit. But that is not the problem i will rewire so it will fit.
The main problem is the map! I bought a bolt-on silencer (MIVV GP) and the company also provides maps for power commander but it seems only for PCIIIusb. Can anyone tell me is there a way to copy-pase the numbers from one map to the other?

The truble is that PCIII (serial) seem to have three maps?! what do i do?? do i brake up the map into two sections (one for AAP map and the other for MP)

Thank you for you're help and sorry for my bad english:)

ok guys thanks for your replyes but i got everything solved!

The powecommander (PCIII serial) was originaly made for Honda CBR954RR 2002.
So as expected nothing fits! I cut the connectors off and figured out all the wires. then i did some measurments (resistance of the injectors) on both bikes they are the same. I connected everything together and uploaded a zero map on the PCIII. started the bike and it runs great!

After running the bike for about 4 sec. the red led on the dash started to blink and an F1 showed up where the water temp is ( i expected this). Then i put the bike in dealer mode and i saw C32,C33,C34,C35. In the manual it says injector (obviously :) ). then i started to think how to fool the ECU into thinking it still has the injectors connected. So the next logical step was to connect some resistors in parallel with the inputs of the power commander and + .

I was suprised! it didn't work! so im thinking what the hell? i was sure the ECU measures current flowing through the injector when it is activated. I tried everything form 10ohm to 15 ohm. No luck! :banghead:

So how the ECU measures if the injectors are ok or not. What is the difference between a coil and the resistor (DC not AC).
Then it hit me BACK EMF! :banghead: So i disassembled a 12V relay and measured it's resistance it was 60ohm. mhhhhh... so i connected it anyway. And it worked!!!
But i will have to measure the inductance of the injectors and make simmilar coils

Im telling this for people who are DIY like me and run in to similar problems!

I got a map for my bike with this muffler but it's for PCIIIusb. So i had to copy/paste it to the older program in order to load it. i did it and it does the trick the bike is running smoother.

I bought the 1st Throttle by Wire motorcycle which was in 08.
Paid for a Power Commander V. It was not cheap

That was what was out for my bike, Had it tuned at a dealer and they did a bad job. I was waitin on a Thunder-Max and didn't want a sert.

Thunder-Max had not released their unit for the TBW unit.
As fast as HD has been changin things since 07, it has been hard for the aftermarket to keep up.
Hd has continuesly made one change after another since 07.
But they have been doing some good improvments to the bikes. Its took a few years to git things right.

I have my right to own anything I want that I can pay for , Just like anybody else.
I bought a Fuel injected bike because that is what I wanted.
Do not wish to own a carb bike again.
    Already been threw those days.
I ain't going back to kick start again neither.:gah:
I do not wish to go backward to Carbs.

Buy one from fuel moto it comes with the map,
if it doesn't work call em and they send you a new
one, probably get it real close.

You can buy an auto tuner for the powercommander
    too...

Just saying why go through all the exercise to hack up
a powercommander that is good, when you could sell
it, and get the correct model for the bike plug and ride..

Ya don't take a tuner and alter it. Period.
Ya don't take yer computer on the bike and change the wires either. Period.
These instruments do delicate operations for what they are suppose to control.
Yer motor is on theoutcome of what you did.
