and if they don't have something that you think is close, send them an email with what you have. My understanding is that they can either direct you to what IS close, or will maybe make something for you....??!!

I put a power commander on my 03 Ultra and had nothing but problems. Threw a bunch of engine codes all the time. Went to a race tuner but still had problems.

I put a PC on '04 Road King and have been very happy. No issues what so ever, but I have heard of people having problems. I also added V&H Ovals and a Ness Big Sucker. The combo runs and sounds great. By the way, I have sent several emails to PC with no response. You have to call them.

I put a PCIII on my FJR with a std map for stock pipes. It smoothed out the peakiness of the throttle and only dropped my mileage about 1 mpg (seems to run just bit richer than factory stock setting). I seemed to have gotten that bit of mileage loss back by switching to a full-synthetic oil (Amsoil). One of these days I'd like to have the bike fully Dyno-tuned for best results. And..I know I know..DynaJet is actually located here in Las Vegas where I live. I should give these guys a call and see what they can do for me.

A dynojet tuning center that knows what to do will increase mileage and power when properly tuned.

SK, unless things have changed, they will do it for free if they need a map for your FJR.

I have had 2 PC's, no problems with either. Currently have one installed on an '04 Deuce with a stage I kit and a V&H Pro Pipe. It really smoothed out the power band. With the straight Stage I it hit hard and about mid throttle it petered out. I'm loosing the Deuce and getting an '06 Ultra in less than 2 weeks and will get a PC for that as well. The local HD dealer REALLY doesn't recommend them, and they are an authorized dealer for them. They highly recommend the race tuner. But I found a shop near Denver that has a dyno so I plan on the Rinehart true duals, stage I breather and will take it there to have it dialed in.

Question ?? Does the PC still require that the dealer does a stage I download for the PC to work if I take it to a dyno???

    Thanks

I think that I must have had a problem with my 03 ultra. I put the power commander on my bike and after they did the 95 kit with cams I got nothing but engine codes. Could not make the bike run with it installed. Dealer took it back and applied the funds towards a race tuner. Worked better but still would get engine codes and they could not figure out what it was. Mechanic keep saying it was a combustion code and we need to change plugs. Well, I'm rid of the bike now and have an 06 and will not install neither.

    dinosduece,
You do not need to do the Stage 1 map prior to using the PC. There are downloads available with or without the Stage 1 map.

    Thanks navyman,

That will save me some money. Last year when I bought the Deuce I was told I had to get he stage I download first. So I was stuck at the dealer and also had to buy the screamin eagle slip ons so I could get home. Since I am getting an Ultra in a week and a half I wanted to make sure.

I know I put mine together in "parts".....first was the PCIII...... used the "zero map" and noticed that my stock hot engine was cooler, but with a loss of a little gas milage..... I WAS able to do the pipes and air filter at the same time, and when that happened, I plugged it up again and put on the map for what I have......still want/need to dyno it, but it came close.... I am running rich if I am running anything.

I need to take back what I said about Dynojet not answering emails. I got a very quick response from Manny, and he emailed a modified map to me to eliminate some backfiring I was getting. Remap works great, no popping what so ever. Sorry for the bad press Dynojet.
