I'm selling my old EVO engine and putting if here and not in the "for sale" forum because I'm asking for feedback if you think this will sell at this price.

    Check the EBAY site if you could ;

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-Harley...344?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e88070150

There are pictures and description there. I need this sold for this years Sturgis founds.

I appreciate any input you have. And I know some of you will not hold anything back lol.

When you say head stud pulled out do you mean exhaust stud?

A head stud is internal and what you use to bolt down the head,

IF it's the exhaust stud I'd change the text, plus you can pick up an exhaust
stud for very little at an HD store pop on some red locktite and put it in yourself
    to eliminate that issue..

Price, who knows, the market will determine, btw it's easy to ship you just make up a crate and fill it with foam and ship via ups heavy or truck...

    Hi Tom,

I would first start by moving that ad to the correct category under eBay. It should be under eBay Motors > Parts and Accessories > Motorcycle Parts > Engine & Components > Complete Engines.
    http://www.ebay.com/sch/Complete-En...cles_Parts_Accessories&Make=Harley%2DDavidson
You might be able to refine the category further under "Harley". Right now you have it under Home and Garden so very few will find it when searching.

Under that category there are a few other Evo engines with a similar price range but considering the upgrades you are very competitive. What might hold you back is the stud that needs repair. A builder may be willing to put in the work to fix it but a novice looking to bolt this in and go would likely pass. It's all about finding the right person.

Aside from moving that to the right eBay category I would recommend adding some value statements to the ad, for instance listing out the added cost/value of the SE heads or comparing how much was invested to the sale price. Also the total miles may scare some away. I would list it by saying something to the effect of "pulled after 54k miles on complete top/bottom rebuild. This would be accurate considering that is how many miles are on the engine since rebuilt, rather than stating how many miles were on the bike itself.

If I had an Evo project I would probably pick it up but I have far too many projects right now. The right buyer is out there.

Haha, I didn't even notice the category. Thanks Ken. All good suggestions too. I'll make these changes after work today.

$1500 kind of seems like a lot to me but there are others on sale for a lot more.

By the way Ken, are you going to Laughlin River Run this year?

Not sure yet, I have some business out of town to take care of around the same time so all depends if I can get back in time.

My neighbor just got a street glide so we may ride out for a day or two. Let me know. It would be good to see you again bro.

That reminds me, I'll have to get him on this forum.
