My 02 Dyna Glide is filling up the crankcase with gas when I run the engine . I just rebuilt the stock carb thinking the needle valve was not seating , there was a lot of trash in the bowl . as soon as I fire it up for few minutes kill it and check the oil , its full almost to top of case with Gas . The motor runs and sounds ok so I dont know how the gas is getting in crankcase , it does have a stock vacume petcock. any help is appreciated. :cussing:

The carb is the only connection between the gas tank and the crankcase, gas has to be running through it, it would seem that if gas is running that fast through the carb it would flood the engine and it would die.
If you disconnect the gas line from the peacock does gas run out? If so you need a new peacock or turn the gas off when you are done riding.
As you have mentioned the needle valve may be sticking.

Yes the carb is the only connection , that's why I am confused about the engine running
and gas getting into the case. I purchased a new petcock Friday but they gave me an old style bung mount so ill have to exchange it on Tuesday . I was thinking the vacuum line from the petcock was somehow sucking gas into the engine but that should cause a rough running engine? The petcock does cut off the flow to carb when the engine is off .

Float is most likely out of wack. You should have an overflow tube. Do you?

The float controls the needle and seat. Did you replace both the needle and the seat. And check it to make sure it cuts off when its full. The float has a adjustment. When you adjust the float Make sure you DO NOT PUT PRESSURE on the Needle and seat. The needle valve is rubber on the bottom

And when you cut the motor off, are you cuttin the Petcock off ?

You need to do that on a carbed motor........

    CHANGE THE OIL!

Gas running into the engine, mixes with the oil, bad juju....

Float was probably sticking, get in the habit of
turning off the petcock when you park the bike
if you don't have a stock vac operated petcock.
