Thank You Cardboard for posting that. I guess it will never stop how people discriminate openly like that. I liked this because I have thought about getting a club going here in this area, but seeing things like this is a little discouraging.

Interesting I spent the whole day in Salem. Road Shows the outfit that puts on Street Vibrations in Reno is hosting a new rally this summer, where well right in Salem Oregon. I did notice there were no HOG members there and wonder how they would have been greeted. However, let me tell you the Outsiders and the Gypsy Jokers have been known to be a rough bunch here in Oregon and have ties to bigger national clubs like the Angels and Mongols. I have no desire to be part of those clubs. Some HOG members are hard enough to put up with including some of their damm wives (one in particular).

What does what other people think have to do with you startin a bike club.
    FTW............
People are going to discriminate period..... Unless you live like that want you to live.

If you are not causing trouble , and trying to be a badd ass and not too routy when you go in somewhere why should they discriminate on you. Are they scared of you ?

If somebody don't like you when you go in their business, git up and go somewhere else.

Everybody else shouldn't control yer life dude..........

If you are going to ride with rockers and colors
then you are going to get attention from the LEO

Just the way it is, because of some that
cause lots of problems, all are watched....

Watching a show on the Military channel right now called Outlaw Bikers: Warlock War. About the Outsiders and a new formed group in the 70's called the Warlocks and goes into the 90's. Interesting as these guys are some really bad dudes. Its also about the cops forming their own outlaw type club to get in with the gangs.

That is some funny stuff. I ride for a MM which our local 1% has so nicely agreed to allow us to run 3 piece. We do not have a bottom rocker with territory, simply Witness, Minister, or Clergy.

I was riding through a small town up the river from me the other day and picked up a County Escort through the next two towns :roflmao:. Loved it thought it was great that I could pull their attention away from the Local Club on the same strip. I go in their House every Thursday to socialize and talk shop (Jesus) with those that want to talk shop. Love those guys and gals there and if I can ride decoy so they don't get hassled that's fine.

But you are right, you run a large patch on your back some LEO will take notice.

:wtf: It should be just as against the law to profile bikers as racial profiling! Your example is a good one that hey, you were just out for a ride and were kind of being harassed. I guess that law only applies to people who are minorities.:cussing::angry:

Cardboard. I completely agree that if one is not trying to demonstrate that they are a rebel, what is the issue. I am not a rebel at all. I like to be around people that enjoy the same things that I do. There are a lot ways that a club can form and be a positive influence rather than a negative one. There are so many things that a club can get involved in. I guess your image is what you make of it.

I do not care if people approve or not. It is discouraging because it just bothers me so much that people just cannot accept other people for who they are and what they are. Granted, the "stigma" of the biker will forever linger, but to lump everyone in the same box is just wrong. That is what is discouraging. I pretty much have always done what I have wanted to do (within the confines of the law almost all the time).

never had any problem with clubs anywhere, could sit down with any of them, Bandidos, Hells angels, Road saints, vets, and a few others, and B.S., have a beer,. Probably get that from my Dad, only fella in town that walked in to the center of a band of H.A.'s and advised them to take thier party out of town, (Chief of Police, and packin,), gave them a party spot Idea, and they left, gratfull of the information. gained the Respect of the band as they cam back every year on thier way to stugis, stopped B.S.'d and went to the Party spot. My dad said they wern't there to start anything as most would assume, just had questions, and where better to go than the police station.

Yeah a few friends started up a 'riding club" with leathers, patches colors rockers

Had a run in with some other members of other clubs questioning them
who they were, why can't do all this... he had no idea of the COC issue.

So they went and sat and talked with them. Just about 10 guys that's it..
