As you know I just had a break down away from Home.
So I got a buddy down the street who I showed the literature to on where this has been done before. He did it over 2 yrs ago to his bike. He bought the tools to do it.

Here is the stuff out of my tank..
The float sending unit is not shown.

The hose on the check valve is what come off last time, that the dealer repaired.
This is on the top of the quick connect fuel connection.

Went to Orielly and ordered the Gates submergable fuel lines 27903
Got quick connect pinch clips of a few sizes from Orielly too.
This clamps has to be in gas so you don't want them rusting or going bad.

This was a super hard job. Without my buddy helping me. I couldn't of done the task. It takes 2 hands and you need a good light to look down in the tank.
You also need a tool to remove the top of the tank.
Then its still a super hard job.

Here is the fuel pressure after the job was completed today.

Glad you got it straightened out - looks complicated and hard to fix - like you said. I had no idea how much stuff was inside a modern gas tank. Mine only has a fuel filter and . . . gas.

You know my grandmother told me when I was young.

Keep up with technology and the times or git left behind..
I was the 1st person 25 yrs ago to git into computers.
I was the 1st person to git a bag style cell phone.
My aunt has said. Thanks for getting me into computers.
I'm a manager and couldn't hold my job without knowing what I learned from you and what you got me into.
I will not now or ever go back to carbed anything if they have FI..
If I can put 200 miles or so on a tank of gas in my bike.

well I've never been left behind & was one of the last to go computer & cell phone I still know how to tune my bike or older cars with a carb & it cost me a whole lot less then buying a tuner or taking it to a shop to tune or tell me whats wrong with it , yes the puter makes it easy to find stuff but so does a phone book , & yes a cell phone makes it easy to call but so does my house phone or a quarter & pay phone , I tried EFI on my 88tc for 5 years took it off & put a cv carb best think I did for that bike & a whole lot cheaper to fix or tune

    I'm I'm my 5th efi bike.
Just HD the 1st breakdown ..

    I like EFI.
    Like how they run.
You can talk barbs all day. Ain't buying .
    Grew up on carbed everything..
Carbs are on the way out..
What vehicle or boat can you buy with a carb ?

    None..
Git used to it or git left behind...
    Times are changing dude..
Efi isn't just about finding what's wrong. It's a lot easier tuning. Better running

I remember you had a lot of issues with your bike. Probably for you converting it back to a carb was the best thing you did for it. Besides not to many would know how to do all that work and you did. My 01 Springer has a carb and its running really good no big issues with it at all. She runs strong and hard.

Because he didn't know much about computers.

If you don't want to take a problem you can't solve to the dealer you wind up with the outcome
