    Hi all,

Just got my L's. Looking at getting my P's and I think the best way to do this is by doing a Q-ride course. I am a fairly inexperianced rider, only really haveing a couple of go's on a drit bike on a mates farm.

So firstly does everyone think that doing the Q-ride course is one of the better ways to learn to ride? I like the idea of once completeing the course being able to get my P's striaght away rather than waiting 6 months!

Secondly I am in Cairns, Qld. Anyone had any experiances with the following providers? Heard some good things about Top Rider.

    - Top Rider
    - Bikecraft (Edge Hill)
    - Stay Upright (Smithfield)

    Cheers

Welcome to BTF - Judging from your question - I'm assuming that you are located in Aussie land. So I can't help decide on which course would be the best for you. However we do have several of your mates on this forum who might be able to put in their two shillings worth.
I do know that any classes you take will be a large help to you and get you started on the right leg up to becoming a good rider, so many times I've heard stories about guys going out and buying a bike then gettin on the road without training only to have some bad things happen which may or not be because they were unable to handle the situation that came up. About 95 % of the time it's caused by cars but the other 5 % is due to lack of experiance.
I would suggest contacting the schools you have listed and if you can visit them to observe then make your own choice based on what you feel you need to learn. Different schools use various methods and most of them are all good - but some lean to a special type of riding and that's where you have to make the call. Check and talk to some of the grads from these schools and ask them what they thought about the training; it should give you a pretty good idea of which one is right for you.
Good luck and ride safe. :)

Wondering if there are any fellow Aussies around who have dealt with some of these companies?
