Hi, in Sept I relocated from Calif. with my Turkish wife to Istanbul. Because of high taxes I wasn't able to bring a bike with me and have been looking for something to ride here. While there are well known brands here, they are rare and very expensive. For example, you can buy a brand new bike in the States for what you would pay of a 2007 model here. There are tons of bikes on the road, but almost all of them are from companies I've never heard of. Here's a partial list of some of them. Kuba, Mondial, Asya, Ramzey, Chelik, Arora, Dorado, Salcano, Kanuni, Motoran, Lifan, and Bisan. For the most part they are tiny displacement machines, usually in the 125-150 cc range. So, my question is, does anyone know anything about these bikes? I've looked on line and posted in other forums but so far have discovered very little about them. Any feedback would help, thanks.

For what it's worth, I've heard of Mondial and Motoran from my time in Germany. Mostly in the Moped crowd that runs rampant over there. No idea about reliability or anything like that.
