I've got a '86 FLT that was converted by a local Harley Mechanic/Genius to a trike in '88. (They came out of a restaurant on the way to Sturgis and found Willie G, on the ground looking at it. I did some restoration, but wanted to keep it 100% "back in the day". with Suburban HD logo on the Box. I'm a right above knee amputee and once I came up with a second lever to pull the pedal forward for the Mustang rear brakes, I was back on the street. Love the trike, but the steering could be a little better. I might end up with arms like an ape.

Anybody know if a suitable set of raked trees are available...that will still accept the original parts, etc.? Or should I find a second stock set and turn a machinist friend loose on 'em? Maybe if the holes were plugged and welded, it could be reborded at the new angle? Sound like that might work?

In advance, thanks for any help.

there are many mfg's of raked trees, in different degrees. your neck is a 1" so any set of trees that accept 1" bearings will work.....google raked tripple trees......hope this helps!!!

Does it have the original triple trees?

I would think less rake would provide better leverage and tighter turning,

Longer rake (more) is going to make the higher speed rides a bit better but
    a PIA to turn around.

I would look at a different set of bars for the bike as the first option, something that gives you more leverage. Typically Heritage bars which they make a copy for touring bikes are the best, the LEO's use them on cop road kings and we've all
seen them do some amazing turns and riding...
