Rear peg Mounting

    When I go to put on my rear pegs mounts, It looks like I have to drill out a plug for where the bolt goes into the swingarm. Are those holes already tapped or do I need to do that??

    My wife's XLH883 had plastic plugs in the peg mount holes, already threaded.

    On my buddys 06 or 07 street bob his rear pegs mount to the swing arm not the frame....

    my heritage mounts to the frame

    Haven't looked that close at the little boy bikes

    Seems odd they'd be on the swingarm
    hit a pothole and you'd bust a knee...

    Looks like they mount to the frame over the swingarm

    HRK, that could be a custom spot but everywhere that I look all point to the swing arm.

    Never had to take them out. Put the solo seat on as soon as we got it home, so never needed passenger pegs. In the pic, you can see the plug in the swingarm just below the front belt guard bolt. The bike is a '98 XLH883.
