Rear tire for traction

    does anyone here know of the best or a good 150/16 rear tire to use on the street / strip for maxium traction?

    Wet...Dry...Or wet and dry conditions...Are you concerned about tire life? I think your answers will be all over the place as we all have our favorites...

    dont think the type of bike matters that much... it is the availibility of the tire size that only a few manufactures have..I need a 150/16 , The bike is a 92 Harley FXR Low rider..it produces a lot of power and when I go to the drag I want the max traction available short of a racing slick and it needs to be streetable also... thanks for the reply

    Nope. I'm sure you can get recommendations from your local indy. Or at the track.

    Avons venoms are sticky, you might want a different tire for the track and for the street.
    I had two sets of wheels for my corvette, one for the track with drag radials, not worth shidt on the street, other with street tires.

    Kirby is a member here, Prodrag1340 and he races, would be a good question for him..
