Its a fine place to live and ride. If you're looking to buy a house it is a good time to in the housing market. Crime is pretty low (as compared to California), but higher than it used to be. The casinos aren't near the glitz of Vegas, but they still do draw big entertainment acts. Year round riding - just not necessarily every day of every year. Easy access to snow skiiing, and four hours to deep sea fishing in CA if ya want that.

I live about an hour from Reno, and wouldn't mind living their except I prefer the smaller town living.

    So why the relocation?

well the ol'lady's best friend lives in lake jackson,tx, and her old man is making me some good job offers there so, that's in the mix now, at least I won't have to send my tins far to chuck there.
tired of the bs here. I'm a welder, and superviser here, so that's the only reason I"m here. no family, just a good job. I can get a job anywhere with my trade. plus after last winter, I miss ride'n all year round. and as of right now at 12.16 am my driving privliges have been revocked in the state of washington for refuseal of a breath test, in my drive way after about a hour of being home and the cops showing up. I don't even have a wash driver license, I've still been use'n my az. and only had a wash i.d. so maybe with some luck i'll be able to get a lic. in nev or tx. and just pack up and haul azz to a new enviorment. pops gave me the gypsy blood. he's been working on the road on job's all his life. besides why stay in one place when you can roam, don't have kids, lifetime renter, all works good when you get tired of the ssssittt and want something new. the funny thing is tx is where i started from.

In Aberdeen v. Cole, 537 P2d 1073 (1975), the Washington State court of appeals held that the DMV could not suspend that which the defendant did not have (Wash. license). That case has been referred to several times including in a Maryland appeals court case last September, which also discusses other State's cases & legal theories. The 21-page decision is here: http://www.courts.state.md.us/opinions/cosa/2008/68s07.pdf

There's more to it including right vs. privilege & you'll want to research other Washignton State cases, but that's a good place to start & if you use an attny. you can tell him what to look for, as they generally don't do a lot of case law research.

You'll like Reno..they have all 4 seasons. Doesn't getting extremely cold in the winter (snow doesn't stick all winter) and the summer's are great. Riding in all directions is phenomenal! Down time in the winter is nothing like Colorado..it's not that long..just ask Red.

Reno's a lot different than Vegas..weatherwise and the atmosphere. Average wages are much better in Reno as it's not as service oriented as Vegas.

checked out that link, thanks art. Don't think I want to really hound them about it just yet. I called az. and they said my lisence was good. So like they argued in those apeals, I don't have something for them to take. my paper reads. The revocation of your privilege to drive for one year due to a first incident of failure to submit to a breath/blood test has been sustained. you must stop driving a motor vehicle in this state. On top of it all I did have a wash. I.d. card, and that's what they seem to have took. MY az. lisence has never came up. but I have decided to stay here till the year is up, due to convenence. still going just a matter of time.
