Luv BBQ! 'specially with PBR "red necks, white socks and Pabst Blue Ribbon beer"!!! Oh, and Germans don't eat corn; they feed it to their hogs (now thet right there is funny, Vern!) Seriously. Corn was invented on the North American continent, along with avocados, peppers, tomatoes, Indians and tequila.( Hope you guys have a sense of humor).

good food is great food with the right beverage, figured out tonight why the orings on an evo p/rod tubes should not leak. those spring cups really put some pressure on them, ask my fingertips. getting closer have heads and rocker boxes on motor, hold up will be t/header. MountainCruiser see that you are from Ashville, my sister just moved from there to Laurens, will try to get there this year to try the Tail. Thinking of staying at Hunts lodge one night and riding loop twice. Any thoughts or recomendations of a better place or plan?

Obviously I don't use any motels this close to home, but couple of things to look at. Depends on what you want for a place to stay. If you like a camping cabin, has bed, but you bring sleeping bag, good price, look at Kickstand Lodge ... at least check out their website has good rides marked, one is Tail loop back over Cherohala Shyway, don't miss Skyway. Another loop going the other way is shown or some good rides on the Blue Ridge Parkway, it is in the middle of it all.

Another choice in the area, right in the middle is Ironhorse Motorcycle Lodge. If you have time hit Maggie Valley and check out the Wheels Through Time Museum. Large private collection of vintage iron... really, really cool, most of it in running condition.

Hope this helps a little... beautiful area to ride... :)
