We had a great ride today. Went down the Washington state side and crossed over the 3-4 mile long Astoria bridge. Crosses over the mouth of the Columbia river between Oregon and Washington. Got a bit cooler in Astoria, neat little town. Made a few movies there like Kindergarten Cope with Arnold Schwarzenegger. We had lunch down by the water front. Got home after dark but was a dry sunny day and good riding with a couple of good guys.
The bridge from where we were sitting looking at it just before crossing over runs down on the water before raising up and into Astoria.

If you look at that pic again on your computer and blow it up to the larger size you can see a mountain in the back ground. It's called Saddle Mountain and is shaped like a horse saddle and even has the horn on it.

    Hi...

I definitely recall a happy hour that turned into a happy binge, but this was years ago. They had a great area in the back with patio tables. Washington/gorge area - the channelled scablands - is some of the most geologically fascinating landscape on the planet. The incredible violence that formed this unique country seems the stuff of Biblical stories when explained.

    Thanks,
    Anthony
