Ride to the sea lions

    You wouldn't believe these big ol guys. Boy do they growl like a lion and sometimes wine like an old dog or just plain bark at you.
    We went to Newport and down to the water front. Had lunch at the world famous Mo's (famous for their Clam Chowder). I think chuck would have liked it here man they were bringing in bucket loads of fresh caught Clams. Outside a couple guys were cooking crabs for people out crab fishing. They cooked em, cleaned em and bagged the meat. Was a cool day there 54F but sunny. Was 82F at home and inland from the coast.

    Nice pics, FLHT, many thanks. It reminds me of Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey. We could hear the sea lion's barking from a great distance away everyday. Got so one hardly noticed the racket they made. As for the smell, well, it never bothered me, except the time "Critter", my dog at the time, made her way to the wharf and rolled in something very slimy and dead. Man, that ol' dog got a bath that day! Whew!

    They do stink to us, but the Sea Lions think that smell is like perfume :roflmao:

    I think Chuck would like this place with all the sea food :D
