Today Maddog and I rode in Big foot country. We rode past the Ape Caves (been in them before) on the back side of MT Saint Helen's. These pics were all taken with my lolly IPhone camera. These creeks were just beautiful and when the Salmon and the Steel Head are running you would see them jumping the falls. The pics of the tops of the trees is where previous lighting strikes hit them, pretty cool looking and wild country. Just a beautiful ride today.

5 of us rode down to the Oregon Coast today over the Coast Range mountains. We had lunch in a town called of all things Pacific City and the Restaurant is called the Pelican. Great day, see the cars and horses on the beach.:)

This is what our traffic was like riding to the coast. These are the same road we rode. As we got close to home traffic got tighter but still not bad as we stayed off the freeways

    Sweet.

Similar to the back roads up here.

I've ridden to Maine twice last couple of weeks once to New Castle and once to Sanford via back state and county roads and its about the same. During the week everyone is either at work or school now so if you don't get stuck behind a pokey wood or propane truck you're golden. They take the samer roads for some reason?

Found a very cool biker bar in Farmingotn,NH on the way:

    Welcome to Hawg's Pen

I have my summer accululation of rides on the disk. I don't know how to down load from the camera but when I do get them put on a disk I'll share. Something to do in the winter, lol.

I remember that rock and the beach. Lots of good memories. Thanks for posting . . . if I remember correctly, the rock is called Pelican Rock. That's where they hang out.

Last time Maddog and I were there we watched the whales out by the rock. They would sure blow a big spout of water.

The only other one I was aware of was Bentleys in Arundel,ME:

    Bentley's Saloon & Campground - Arundel, Maine

Bentleys is off the hook on the weeknds. And whats nice about Bentlkeys is it has an onsite campground, hotel or RV place so you don't have to worry about DUI's.

We sure live in a great country.
