Rinehart duals...2003 Road King (Screaming Eagle)

    Hello all,
Sorry bout the spelling (road kind??? I didn't see it till after I posted & I can't fix it!)
I really like this forum, I have picked up a lot so far & y'all helped me spend my money. I bought a S.E. air flow kit, power commander 111 & the Rinehart duals. No problems with anything till the last thing on my exhaust...the heat shield for the front jug won't fit or I can't see how it will? The footrest support is only 1/4' from the exhaust pipe itself...even if i could get it inside, I think it would be hitting the foot support. It seems I saw a short writing somewhere...no clue if it was here or not, about this fit problem on a 2003 S.E. only & BUB corrected for it & all should Be Ok now? I did have to wait 2/3 weeks to get my pipes...so I ass_u_me they are the latest production style? I was able to put 3 of the small shields from my stock setup on so i could ride back from my friends garage without un-installing & YEP there is a GREAT improvement in performance...at least in the 3 miles i got before the sky opened up & cooled & slowed me down a bunch! Any input will be appreciated :D
    Thanks again,
    Steve

    Steve,
Just finished installing the V&H dresser duals on my 01 RoadKing - They provided flat washers to shim the right floorboard out for clearance. Did you have the floorboard off when you tried to install the heatshield?

I did overlook the spacers, guess thats what working on zero sleep will do for a guy. They fit Ok now...but a little soft in the bark, if ya know what mean?...wonder if they have any other baffles for theses? Hmmmm...may give them a call?.
    Thanks again,
    Steve
