    Hey All !!
I have been thinking about a Road Glide any one here have any comments good or bad?
I heard yesterday the moco wasn't going to be producing them after this year. There are some pretty good deals on low mileage used ones out there.

I have a couple of friends who ride them and they really like em. They say they get less wind turbulence.

I think it is one of those you have to test out and see if you like the frame mounted fairing vs. a fork mounted like the Electra Glide. Other than that it should be a good ride.

the front end is lighter because the fairing is frame mounted. i dont like the looks of them, just my opinion.....but you need to test one for a bit to see if it is right for you........

I'm with chuck on the looks - never my style I guess but if you test ride one and like it buy it. If they are discontinued you got yourself a future collectible!
There will always be parts for it and those big front fairings can hold a lot of sh!t if placed properly - amps, radar detector and still have storage space left!

Thanks to all who replied, I'm not sure I like the looks all that much myself, I think more than any other bike I've seen color makes a lot of difference on RG's. Generally I am a bare bones black bike guy, I have found this Bright Yellow Pearl Road Glide that just caught my eye, but I don't know if I could stand to look at it everyday.

If its like the orange one I've seen you'll need sun glasses when you ride it in the sun light. :)

Just bought an 09 RG, great riding bike,

If you'e height challenged then a classic style bagger (ultra, classic etc with batwing on bars) might be better, even though you have hand controls the radio and dash are farther away, makes the radio a reach.

However unless you need to turn it off, or eject a disk it's not really relevant with the hand controls.

Youll get more wind around you on the RG than the Classic line, not a ton but more.

New 09 bikes handle way better than previous models with 180 rear tire and new frame.

I like the RG, on the highway it cruises straight, you don't get the wind pressure on the bars like you will on a Classic series (batwing) bagger.

HD has test rides now, take both out, see which one you prefer..

can't say that I would ride it (ya right) but it looks kinda sleek I like the rear with the filler panel lights, and low windshield, probably the thought that there just aren't as many out there as the classic line that catchs my fancy. but I do prefer my flhxi more..glorified road king if ya will. If there comes a real swingin deal though I would park one in my shop for bragin rights. garage trophy
