Can anyone advise me on a replacement seat for a 2004 Harley Road King. After 50 miles of riding, I want to pull over and sell it. Extreme discomfort in the tailbone section. Will it be an upgrade to Harley, Mustang or Corbin?

Any feedback would be appreciated via email.

    Thanks,
    Lenny

    Mustang or Corbin

My personal opinion is to go with Mustang. I have 2 Harleys and both sport the Mustang seats. Corbin are a good looking seat especially for "around town" putting, but for the longer hauls, Mustang seem to fit the human posterior better....just my input...

When asking about which seat is the best, everyone has there favorite, so your going to get alot of different answers, I have always ridden on a Corbin seat. I too have a 2004 Road King Classic, Corbin gives me the extra comfort to ride those 600 to 700 mile days. Ride safe, David.

Mustang Sport Touring on my RK. Corbin used to be a good option but their quality, customer service, attitude and other issues have dragged them down.

Yup, them stock Harley seats make for one unhappy fanny. As fatboyvtwin said, everyone has their preference, I never owned an Corbin seat but, I've owned a Mustang and Lepera's. I am very happy with my Lepera Maverick, it's very nice on the ol'fanny. ;)

I can ride four times farther on my Mustang touring saddle than I could with the stock electraglide seat. I've spent limited time on a corbin but I felt it was too hard. I hear gel seats rock and will probably try one on my next bike.

Hey there lenny, its just a gel that will mold to the shape of your butt, makes it more like a custom seat. There really not that much more expensive. You can go to there web-site or look in any reputable catalog for more info. Good luck.

I put a Mustang on my softail and have ridden all day with no complaints. As for the gel seats, check www.saddlemen.com . There are other gels out there and there are gel pads that hook over your non-gel seat. Check www.buttbuffer.com. I have one of these pads that a friend gave me and I use it on my office chair... feels great. I have used it with my Mustang but don't really feel like I need it. My $.02 worth...

Traded in my 2000 Heritage this year. Went to Datona from Columbus, Ga with a so called custom seat from Harley-Davidson. Mine and the ole Lady's leggs and back were killing us. Went to the Mustang tent the next day in the pouring rain. Thats how bad I needed a good seat. Was nice to ride home and have had it on the bibe ever since. The Harley shop here removed it and put a Harley seat on it prior to selling it.

I guess the dealer decided he wanted the seat for his bike...
