How about a wrap that makes your heap look like a jeep??? In upstate N/Y rust is a natural condition= no need. (lol).

Still can't figure out the draw the new "Rat" look has for some people. I work too hard for my stuff to want it to look like a PoS.

Everything goes in cycles, I kinda like the ratty look meaning old patina rusted body of a hot rod with newer internals like engine, drive train...

I'm all for the new drivetrain/suspension on an older chassis, but too many homebuilt ratrods are just running clapped out 305s and stock brakes and suspension. I've had trucks and cars so rusted the roof leaked rainwater onto your lap, and seatbelts tied to the seatframes as the floor was too rusted to anchor them, so the rat look is not for me. JMO

The thing now is to drop the old body on a s-10 frame w engine. Fits right up to old truck

So you are left with an old rusty body on what was a crappy truck? Does not seem worth the work. I had an old rusty body on my D100 and all the work I needed to do was ball joints and tie the seat belt to the seat. Guess i was a trendsetter 15 years ago. Knew I should have got a patent! LOL!

Well it's a cheap way to get a 50's pickup running for cruise night

Price up an Art Morrison custom frame, Mustang 2 front clip, vette
rear end, even if all used, the costs of refurbing them is some moola.

Just pick up an S10 dump the cab and bed and you can bolt it to a late 40s to mid 50s
Chevy pickup with a kit, or MYO mount

For next to nothing you can drop an older body on a newer drive train
so for guys on a budget it's a quick solution...

The patina look is in , so some clear coat satin over the rust
and you have a classic LOL
