I have always owned a harley but today i bought my first iron hores/pitbull and it runs good with a 107 s and s but the exhaust dosent have any baffles and it has samson exhaust does the bike need exhaust with baffles or not and will it hurt the engine without exhaust baffles i know one thing it is loud and i bought it from a dealer like that and they said they went through the whole bike and it was fine so maybe it doesnt have to have baffles just wanting to see if anyone knows and it is a 2003 model

they might have those cones in the top of the pipes , you have to take the pipes off to see them , if not there I would check into some big city baffles

Check the size of the header pipes.

If its like the 110 cu motor. you might try the D&D fatcat with the quiet baffle.

They used to come on the American Ironhorse Motorcycles if'n I remember right
It will cut down on the noise some
But you got to realize the bike is blowing a lot or AIR out the pipes.........:gah:

Mabe stickin a potatoe in the end of the pipe will quieten it down some tooooo:D

i put the arlen ness on mime but someone told me that the crankcase vent have to be hooked to it or the bike probaly wouldnt run right because it would cause a internal vacum leak in engine because it is venting outside instead of back through the intake like it is suppose to i put a external filter on it just wanting to know if it is true or not it is a s and s 107 on the bike and i also put 3 inch baffles in the exhaust now it sounds much better

If you are talking about venting the head breathers to the outside via a hose and filter it will not cause a vacuum leak, and it will keep the oil mist from being inhaled by your engine, HP increase? no, but cleaner air entering the engine = less deposits.
