Does anyone out there have any experience with the ThunderJet?
I am thinking about getting one if they increase HP and torque and are worth the money.
Let me know about your experience with it.
    Thanks guys,
    Tommyc

You talking about putting one on your Super E/G?

Yes they do work, the SNS carbs have two fuel circuits and this adds a third which helps with the transition points on the carb.

Before it's pilot to Main and to have enough fuel on WOT the main
had to be larger than needed, so when you put on the T-Jet
you can run a slightly smaller Main allowing the T-Jet to add the fuel
during that point and more all the way to WOT.

Yes, I am thinking aout putting on my 93 ci shovel with a super E.
I have it set-up in single fire mode with 2 coils and 4 plugs. She runs great. I'm always trying to improve performance. I'm thinking about adding the TJ and a K&N tall air filter and a set of thundercity baffles in my 2" open drags. Should feel a improvment with those adds, ya think?
So do you think the TJ is worth the money?
Next question: what would you say the redline limit for a hi-po shovelhead motor is? I'm thinking about 6,000 rpm.
    Thanks!

15 schnitzenglubens be my limit LOL

    I wouldn't push over 6K

It won't hurt and you can play with it as they have
changeable jets to set the amount of fuel it adds,

Some folks drill the hole on the side where the vac
created the timing when it comes in, I would leave
it alone from that stand point. Some guys
with big engines run two tjets.

It should smooth out the transistion and allow you
to better tune the engine with three fuel circuits.

I am thinking about adding thunder city baffles to my open 2" drag pipes, good idea or no?
    They cost $130

    Yes and no

Drag pipes kill power on the street, sound loud, but basically they
reduce lower end TQ for higher end HP, and on a harley that's the opposite
of what you want on a street bike.

Will they help, maybe, but any baffle will help those pipes
I would look for a set of baffles to put in, wrapped with fiberglass
and maybe put the lollypop trick in the bolt (that's a flat washer with hole in the middle
welded to the end of a threaded rod then nutted inside and out) to create backpressure.

I'll send you Johns number he does SNS carbs can put the tjet in and knows how
    to setup the carb...

Thanks, I know about the lollipop trick.
So you would do baffles and lollipop?

Attached is a couple of pics of the bike in question. They're a little dark but you get the feel for what's going on with it.

    Thanks for your advice.!

bike looks good, the lolly pop will help more than anything

Best thing is to dump the drags and go to a stock header with
a cycle shack or khrome werks slip on...

YOur ears will thank you as will everyone you ride with
and you engine will work better...
