at the recent V-Twin Expo in Cincinnatti S@S released their new X Wedge engine. It is a 60 degree V Twin with 3 camshafts and will work with the final drives available on the market today. It will no0t fit any frame not particularly designed for it so it will be mainly available in custom bikes or to the builder of a custom bike. Check it out on the internet. My thoughts I would never go out to buy a bike with one or have a bike made with one, it doesn't look like a Harley and will not even sound like one. My prediction is it willo be a flop as it is just not what most motorcyclists are looking for, just look at the number of harley wannabes out there already. Lets hear what the masses think. Tom REED

Doesn't seem like anything I would be interested in. I'm not a bike builder, but it doesn't seem too feasible if it won't fit any standard frames. It's not like a typical H-D rider is gonna swap out his motor for one of those, but then again, what the hell do I know?! :D That's my .02:rolleyes:

Agree, not fitting into a standard frame limits this engine's functionality. Maybe S&S is just tired of being sued by Harley so they built something completely new.

Does have a couple of nice features like 5 head studs and uses automotive style rocker arms with a common cam for intake and a seperate cam for each exhaust, and I thought twin cam cam drives had probs> I wonder if it uses chev or ford rockers? hmm!!! maybee I can use some of thoes old smallblock roller rockers I have ya think

It sounds nice but I think it has numerous limitations, which makes it an inefficient item.
