Down here in San Diego, drove past a couple of Carriers here is a pic of the USS Ronald Reagan and a couple pics of the beach by our hotel. Hotel is on the Naval Base. Pic of the sunset tonight from the hotel. Really beautiful weather down here but way to many people. The Navy has been treating us very well.

I've been to San Diego many times and once saw the Queen Mary and Mighty Mo when they were there. Man, you sure get around! Thanks for the photos.

Looks really nice, I'm assuming this trip is related to the recent passing of your relative in the service? I was sorry to hear of your loss. Hoping not all memories are sad ones.

Yep way to many people. I couldn't even find the house where my old girl fiend lived. :)
I'll stay in Oregon even if it rains lest we don't get a lot snow.

Very cool! Thanks for sharing. Was there back in 2010. Are you staying at the Hotel Del Coronado?

The Del is cool, supposedly haunted,

the main room was built from 100% wood, not one nail...

I have a friend lives on Cable Street and when we got there he took the day oiut of work to show us around. It don't cost nothing to walk around the Del as you call it. It was like you said alledgedly haunted but also to where the movie stars of the '60's hung out to include Tony Curtis.

We had a very nicely done ceremony by the Navy today on the beach. Was a very emotional time for everyone. The Navy did a missing man helicopter fly over at the end. The hotel is a newer one that the Navy built called the Navy Lodge. It's pretty cool as we can watch the seal teams on the beach running. Pretty cool place and very nice. Site right on the edge of the beach where the ceremony was held. We had a family bonfire get together this evening. White man fire. :)

Cool pix, nice ceremony. Hope your family is doing OK. Was there in 2008 with my daughter, when she was getting set up to do an internship while studying for her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. We had a small apartment the school gave her... we used public transportation and had a blast.
