I've been spending lots of time trying to get my property back in order. Very overwhelming but I'm not houseless as so many other people are. I feel for them. Had a tree guy come in Saturday morning. He came with a crew of 12 and they swarmed all over the 11 downed trees. Used payloader to remove two very large stumps. Altogether I dropped $4,600 bucks on the tree removal. Now the property is another type of disaster. What a mess.
Yesterday the club put together a last minute local ride. We had 60 degree weather so I decided to take a break and go for a much needed ride. Over morning coffee we discussed miles to ride since gasoline, especially premium is in short supply still. One brother had only 90 miles left in his tank so we planned around that. Started off GREAT, man it was good to be out on two then the insurance adjuster for my truck called me (Bluetooth Scala Rider). I had to drop out of the ride and head home, Dammm. No surprise, they totaled it over the phone. Check is on the way tomorrow. Now I gotta add searching for a good used SUV onto the list. Also, I may have a last minute trip to AZ coming up very fast. One veteran son of Iraq war of occupation's wife has had it with his PTS and has taken the kids and left him. She can't "take his moods anymore". Thankfully he's got two brothers there to keep an eye on him. :gah:

Sorry to hear that about your son, he is going to need help. Wish you the best for him.

Do you have a wood stove or fireplace to burn all that wood up?
I would go to AZ be with your son and also look for a SUV.

Yep, supposedly covered, just had to lay it out until they get to us, the other people are the priority now. Son is getting help. First step was for him to hit bottom safely now he realizes he has a problem and now is getting help. Went through with his vet brother just over a year ago for the same reasons, now he's doing very well.
Thanks for the thought guys. This too will pass.

Sorry to hear about your son...A friends brother went through the same thing after returning from Nam...Hit bottom, wife and kids left, he got help and his wife gave him a second chance and I believe they are still together...I hope his wife will too...
