Got a new catalog friday at the HD dealer. Was lookin at the SE compensator for my bike. Well the catalog says its stock equiptment on the limited and certain 103 engines.
And next year it will be stock on everything.
Seems there is a problem with the compensator spring on non SE compensators and the compensator. So HD is going to use nothin but SE compensators from what a HD mechanic said.

Was glad to hear that too.
SE compensators comes with a new rotor for the stater and the upgraded compensator and the SE compensator had a lock so it don't come loose.

Had a S>E compensator put on my 09 streetglide when the tranny was appart. The stock one looks like a pizza shoot comparred to the S,E. Also now feels like a Hurst shifter on a hot rod.

Next year it will be standard equiptment.
    Good time to trade .........:cussing:

A lot of the 103's got the SE compensator standard in 11.
And the power packages upgrades threw the dealer got it.

HD has a exclusive bike called the Screaming EAgle. It was standard on it.

Also found out the 110 cu engine is about as big as HD can go unless they want to do a 113cu. Its all the engine cases will take.

Look at the 2012 Electra Glide Classic, the went back to spoke rims.
Got a buddy with a 2010 Heritage that has spoke rims. Hes had a lot of problems with the spokes coming loose, Had it back to the dealer 4 times to get the spokes adjusted.
The touring bikes and the heritage is too heavy for spokes.

I don't want spokes on another bike.

Got a buddy with a S&S 124 motor, He adverates about 25-28 mpg.
Another buddy with a Build 124 said he got 30.
Twist the throttle hard and they drops
If you can git 45 that is excellent.
    My 103 ain't gittin it.

    common mistake by alot of tuners,more fuel,more power,not true.get them tuned right,in a street application,anything under 30 is way off base,and a 103 should be over 40

Got a TM with the TBW, it ain't been out long, waitin on more maps to come out.
And you being right at 1000 miles One way ain't gonna help me non trying to come to you and ask you to dyno my TM to dial in a better map
You might not even like TM.
Not planin on any changes for a while with the extended warranty.

Tryin to find a good tuner is super hard.
And tuners are tuner specific, Some with The SE race tuner. Others want to tune the Power Commander, then some say they have learned the TTS mastertune.
And some tune Japanese bikes most of the time.
A good tuner is hard to find.
And I'm 50 miles from nowhere.

    Thanks.

we sold our dyno jet 250 when we made the move to florida (just doing engine building & machine work now),tuning is a bitch,as theres new stuff out every 6 months, almost have be a full time tuner to keep up on all of it,for milder builds a power commander is the best bet,as their very user freindly and most computer literate guys can get their tune pretty close without every dynoing the bike

Tuning is a large part of selling your equiptment with builds.
Both Fuelmoto, T-Man performance and Fulsac has maps they have dynoed for some of the builds that they have to sell you.
If you buy a kit from T man he will try to get you to put a Thunder-Max on to protect his build, since he don't get to dyno the bike..

Most tuners learn as you probaly know, SE race tuner, TTSmastertune, Power Commander, Thunder-Max.

Thunder-Max will auto tune if you have a good map to start with.

Tuning sells the equiptment I would presume too.
A build ain't complete till the tuning is done.

Its a lot to keep up with but part of the program.
