I posted a starting issue recently and one of the posts was to purchase a selenoid push button to bypass the relay, handlebar switch and wiring up front. After research, I found one at Dennis Kirk. com and the cost was minimal... For a little ovber $20.00, got another chrome piece now on the selenoid and a great backup for direct starting.....It was also very easy to install. Now I wait to see if the original problem is fixed.

    Good glad the button worked,

Did you remove the bits under where the cover goes on and clean up the brass
bits with some emery cloth? See if there are any marks that are on the parts.

At least you have a good backup for starting.
