A Southern couple in their mid-sixties had finally learned, after a full year, how to send and receive texts on their expensive cell phones.

One day while out shopping, the wife and a friend stopped for coffee.
Being a genuine romantic at heart, the wife decided she'd send her husband
a text while she was out and about. She texted:

If you are sleeping, send me your dreams.
If you are laughing, send me your smile. If you are eating, send me a bite.
If you are drinking, send me a sip.
If you are crying, send me your tears.
    I love you….

The husband, being a real no-nonsense-sort-of-guy, texted back:

    “I'm on the toilet ... please advise…”

    :D

My daughter texts me all the time and I told her I hate texting but its the only way to communicate with her. Texting sucks. By the time I get done trying to communicate with her by text it takes half a day. Could be all done with one phone call.

I hate texting, too. my wife texts me all the time when away. Usually I text back "OK", "No" or "Yes", my stock answers to just about everything LOL.

She texts because you only get charged a half a minute per text, no matter how long it is. I don't care, I'd rather talk. I always tell her,"See how impersonal all this modern technology is getting? Now I don't even get to hear your voice."

Yep Siri your texts, there is a little microphone button by the space bar
tap it and speak your text message, slower and smooth works best
you'll figure out how to transmit your voice.

Kids are all about instant text communication.
