Ok, It's Not On My Bike But Since Theres So Much Knowlege Out There I Thought I Would Ask. I Just Changed Out The Key Ignition On My 03 Sunfire Because The Key Kept Getting Stuck. It's A Automatic With The Shifter In The Center Console. There Is A Aftermarket Shift Knob On It And The Dealer Says This Is The Problem. So I'm Buying A New One And Need To Know How Much Preasure On The Button If Any, That Releases The Shifter To Move Needs To Be. It's The Cable That The Button Pushes Down On That Runs To The Ignition To Tell It If It's In Park Or Drive. Think Some One Said Saftt Neautral Thing A Ma Gig. Thanks All Help Needed! I'm Doing The Project Today!

I've been out of the auto mechanic business for 6 years now, but, if I'm reading this right, I think the only pressure would be the spring loaded pressure on the button itself. The cable adjustment shouldn't change if you're only swapping the key cylinder.... Again, not sure if this is what you're asking, but, hope it helps.
