Shipping a bike

    Looking to ship a bike form NJ to California. Any advice or recommend a shipper?

    Find one that will help you crate it, or get a crate from a dealer from a new bike, they should let you have one at least the base and tie downs then build around the bike.

    I'd check with the major haulers in your area to see if they take bikes, you'll probably have to drain the fuel I had to push one down to a shipper in CA LOL. They crated and shipped took 3 weeks and $300 to get a gs400 home.

    go to www.forwardair.com click on the motorcycle they ship from major cities near the airports ciities in ca. are lax sfo san smf they provide the container you provide locks and tie downs they have 3 different size containers. you can book on line and pay by c.c.
