You gotta travel 20 miles one way just to fill up the bike. Gee, one round trip and it's almost time to fill up again.

I go over there to a Resturant and eat.
Or ride across the Big Bridge on Hiway 190 across the lake to go to a Biker Bar I go to and have a Burger or Redneck Budweiser .
Stop and get some gas there.

What you think I just get gas where I live.
    C'mon Man.

Nope, Its not my Job. And the minute I pull my weapon, I will have to answer for it.
Nobody pointed a weapon at me. My life was not in jeperady.
And if he had of and I shot him I would be missing a Dan Wesson 1911 Pistol.

The dude was a Texas Department of justice guard. He was 20 yrs old. It was said he was depressed and I think he even called the police before he went there.

I know 3 police officers was shot. I was told they didn't even want to go to the Hospital. Think they got shot with small game shot.
Know ATF was at Walmart where he bought the Shotgun at 11:00 am that morning.
And the Texas Rangers are also involved.

I have a Fort Knox mail box, no kid is going bend it with a baseball bat or no thief will steal our mail. If a large package comes the mailman will drive his truck up our long steep driveway and hand deliver to us. That's pretty good service.
We had a good looking blond gal but now an guy who is very respectful. Now the UPS gal now she is cute :joyful:

Not me, I got a 20 yr od milldewed Mailbox.
Beat my mailbox up and somebody here is gonna see you.
My neighbor had it by his house.
He works on Jet Ski's and ATV and all right in his driveway. So he is gonna see you.

We've had the address changed on it so many times it ain't funny.
If I remember correctly it was route number several times.
Then 911 pops in, changes the address several times, then changed the road name.
And started changing the address's again.
Wish 911 Had never of come in my neighborhood.
If somebody needed an emergency here. 911 is the last people I would call.
and I wouldn't call them with my cell phone. And I do not have a home phone.
I would call the Sheriff and have him to dispatch a ambulance too.

We had an incident a few years ago where kids were going around smashing mailboxes and/or hitting them with their cars...A guy said he had enough and sunk a piece of steel into a concrete footing and mounted his mailbox on it...Group of kids hit it, one died and he is in jail and lost his house and just about everything...Unfortunate but he should have used something a little less solid...

You should be able to build your mailbox anyway you want it.
If you put a pipe 20' in the ground and somebody hits it. Their problem
you need to be able to put a NO Trespassing sign on your property and nobody be able to come on it without getting into trouble.
    And that includes Kids.
Kids should be held responsible for stuff they get out and tear up.
The kids here pretty well respect people and their property.
You got a few that want to break in a home they think nobody is in and steal things.

Know a few home owners has hid in their house and caught some young kids and held them at Bay with a Shotgun for a couple hours and scared them before they called the police.
When the police got there, they told the police next time they will shoot for somebody breaking into their homes.
Pretty well shook the kids up.

Doesn't matter what we think...This was direct retaliation for what the kids were doing...Kinda like you damn kids I will fix your ass...Judge said you actions indirectly caused the death of this kid...I think he deserved punishment but not the extreme punishment he got...

I find it very hard to believe that the police did not arrest the people who held the kids at bay with a shotgun...That is just a basic no brainer...Great grounds for a lawsuit too and I don't know too many people who would tolerate that sort of behavior from anyone...

Many people here put their mailbox in with a steel post. My mail box is solid steel also. And the post is cemented into the ground.
Must be a New Jersey thing.

Some kid takes a baseball bat to a steel mailbox their gonna probably break their arm and rightly so.

We don't follow restrictions on Mailbox higth.
We had a gang of mailboxes that was falling down into the ditch.
Mail person had to get out of their truck to put the mail in the box.
They had red wasp all over them. Mailman had to carry wasp spray.
There's at least 10 mailboxes. Probably more.
Nobody in the civic club would do anything. They said you had to get it approved and o.k. by the Post office, its a federal offense.
I got in my F250 and went and bought some 4x4 post and 2x6's all treated.
pulled up the old post and threw everything behind the ditch.
Got the post hold diggers out and dug some holes for about 3 or 4 post.
Put sackcrete n the hole and put the 2x6's on top of the 4x4's.
Put my mailbox in it. And the 84 yr old mans next door. Left the other mailboxes laying on the ground.

Asked the mailperson if the mailboxes was o.k.
They said they are a little low. But we ain't gonna complain about it.
We don't have to get out of our truck no more.
We was fixing to stop puttin mail in the old mailboxes.

The civic club asked who did you get approval from to do that.
I owned a business and used to replace mailboxes all the time.
Y'all got to have meetings and meetings and vote on what you want to do.
I ain't got time to jack with y'all, nor attend your meetings.
I fixed my mailbox post and boards. If the other folks want their mailboxes on the 2x6 they can pay me 25.00 for each mailbox I mount or put it up yourself.

I'd be scared to come by and hit the post or 2x6 with a bat.
